Several months ago, Women for Palestine [WFP] and
the Jewish Women's Committee to End the Occupation [JWCEO] met to establish
a stronger collaboration between the two groups. It immediately became
clear that there was a need to widen the scope of their dialogue to address
fundamental issues beyond the immediate pragmatics of their campaigns
for peace. Working within an open and non-hierarchical feminist framework,
this Dialogue Group has engaged in difficult topics such as Zionism, anti-semitism,
colonialism, Indigenous peoples' rights, and the Palestinian refugees'
right to return. In this panel the Dialogue Group will focus on the U.S.
proposed Road Map, committing yet again to the imperative of negotiating
not in spite of difference, but precisely because of it. Sue
